Prelude:

The plan was to trailer our bikes to our friend’s place in Carson City, Nevada, then take the bikes on a 6-day loop through Northern California and South Central Oregon. BUT the laws of physics had other plans and separated our trailer from our truck after we went over a bump in a construction zone on I-10 before we even got out of town.

Undaunted, we simply jumped on the V-Strom and rode it the WHOLE way...
